Filming

When we were filming, we managed to get enough footage to last for about two minutes in which we could edit it all together and still have enough footage for it to last for an acceptable amount of time. We found places in Royston similar to what we had on our storyboard but changed our storyline in places, therefore, not being able to get all our footage in one day. We got together and decided to finish filming one night in the week to add to our thriller genre change.

We started to edit the footage we had already in our first lesson back from half term. This gave us an idea of what we had to film next and we created another storyboard to fit with our ideas.

Title Styles

We have been considering a back up option for our titles as the more we are starting to figure our sequence out the more difficult it is seeming for our titles to be within the shoots unless we can get it perfectly aligned. We have been considering using one font idea through out the film like within our last opening but we will still try to input the ones we want but it was seen as a good idea.

A post will soon be put up to show the back up fonts.

Target Audience

For our film opening we have aimed our target audience to be the range of teenager till young adult and maybe reach the adult audience as well.
We have found that this a good audience as most films with our film are usually watched within the same range . We have also decided that this will be easier for us to film as our idea is simple enough for our group as we all have very strict timings as most work or have other interferences.

to finalize our theme is, social realist drama.

Filming Locations

We decided to film our opening scene in Royston as it was the closest location we all could get to which had all the places we needed such as a bakers, high streets etc. For the rave scene, we have decided to film a real party and use the footage to put into the opening sequence. This way we will have a sense of reality in our sequence rather than an unbelievable opening.

Filming Our Opening scene attempt 1.

We originally decided to film on Friday 6th and over the weekend. However, due to the adverse weather conditions college got closed at lunch and all bar 1 of our group was not able to get to college because of the snow.
As a result we were not able to film over the weekend we had to re-arrange a different time to film our opening. We have now decided that we shall film within our half term and hopefully get all our filming done within this time.
